A President’s Day Digital Tour of Grand Rapids with Pure Michigan’s Gerald R. Ford

Ford was the only U.S. president to hail from Michigan and now, decades after his service, his legacy is being celebrated in a new digital way.  The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation has partnered with Midland, Michigan-based Map-N-Tour to develop a web and mobile app to educate and entertain visitors on a self- guided tour of sites around Grand Rapids that help tell the Ford story.

Lady Americana Midwest Supplies 400+ Beds for NEW Embassy Suites in Downtown Grand Rapids

When the 250-room upscale Embassy Suites Hilton Hotel opened in downtown Grand Rapids last week, each room was outfitted with a mattress and box springs handcrafted less than eight miles away, at Lady Americana Midwest.  In all, 90 King and 318 Queen Bed sets can be found within the 7-story hotel located at 710 N. Monroe, overlooking the Grand River. It is the first Embassy Suites in West Michigan and is under the management of Suburban Inns.

Grand Traverse Distillery Receives 8 Medals at National Spirits Competition

Grand Traverse Distillery was awarded eight (8) individual medals at the American Distilling Institute’s 11th Annual Spirits Competition, held as part of its annual conference in Baltimore, Maryland earlier this month.

Recognized as one of the 2013 “Michigan 50 Companies to Watch” In 2013, GTD currently operates five tasting rooms in Michigan – including two in Traverse City, one in downtown Frankenmuth; one in Leland; and one in Grand Rapids (with a new location, scheduled to open in September, 2017).
