The Shed Beer Garden Opens Tuesday, May 24 in Traverse City (Grand Opening Set for June 3)

Traverse City’s newest outdoor dining and drinking space opens its gates on Tuesday, May 24 and hosts their Grand Opening Party on June 3 from noon until 10 pm. The casual dining and relaxed outdoor atmosphere of The Shed Beer Garden will provide a quick spot for lunch or the perfect place to enjoy dinner and drinks outside this summer.

The beer garden features a 1955 Chevy beer truck outfitted with eight beer taps and a wine cooler. Accompanying the beer truck is a matching cherry red food trailer serving sliders and fries. Large wooden picnic tables will accommodate approximately 110 people in the community-style, seat-yourself dining space for all ages.

The menu features rotating slider specials and nine mainstay sliders. “The perfect thing about a slider is you don’t have to choose just one. Thanks to their small size you can try a variety of menu items during one sitting”, said General Manager Andy Weaver about the new menu. “We will be featuring everything from a pork belly slider to crab cake slider, as well as a classic.” DIY s’more packets are offered for roasting marshmallows over the beer garden’s two large fire pits. Corn hole boards round the outdoor summer vibe.

With the widely popular craft beer and local wine culture in Northern Michigan the beer garden is the perfect addition to Traverse City. The beer truck will feature some of the regions hottest craft beers and local wines, including North Peak Brewing Company, Shorts, Petoskey Brewing Company and Bells, along with wines from Bowers Harbor, Black Star Farms, and Chateau Grand Traverse.

The Shed Beer Garden is open with limited hours beginning May 23. Starting May 28, regular business hours are: Monday-Thursday 11 am-11 pm, Friday-Saturday 11 am-12 am, Sunday 12 am-10 pm.  Then on June 3rd Create TC will be hosting the Grand Opening Party that will run from noon until 10 pm, with live music by Jeff Bihlman, Jack Fivecoate, Mike Moran, and David Lawston, along with games and giveaways.
