Hotel Walloon Awarded AAA Four Diamond Rating

Hotel Walloon is pleased to announce its recent news of achieving AAA Four Diamond Rating for the second year in a row, recognizing the luxury boutique property as a premier lodging destination and a select accommodation for travelers throughout Michigan, North America and Worldwide.

Hotel Walloon is one of only two hotels in Northern Michigan (and only 17 statewide) to receive this coveted award from AAA, which was founded more than 100 years ago and is considered a leader in travel industry. The award was presented this spring at the Pure Michigan Governor’s Conference on Tourism in Detroit, in front of a record crowd of more than 1000 hospitality and travel leaders.

Achieving a AAA Four Diamond Rating means that AAA values Hotel Walloon as a “refined stylish hotel with upscale physical attributes, extensive amenities and a high degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail.” Just 5.9 percent of the nearly 28,000 hotels approved by AAA in North American and the Caribbean make the Four Diamond List.
