Grab your morning beverage and join us to learn more about five bird species! Each month, we highlight birds that you can find in our southwest Michigan backyards, woods and waters during this time of year.

Birds and Coffee chats are held from 10 to 11 am on the second Wednesday of each month, via Zoom. The online chats are free, but registration is required to access meeting details.

Spring dates and species of focus include:

April 14: Cavity-nesting birds—Eastern Bluebird, Tree Swallow, Black-capped Chickadee, House Wren and English House Sparrow.

May 12: Warblers—Common Yellowthroat, American Redstart, and Cerulean, Yellow and Blue-winged warblers.

June 9: Grassland birds—Northern Bobwhite, Ring-necked Pheasant, Savannah Sparrow, Eastern Meadowlark and Bobolink.
