Grab your morning beverage and join us to learn more about birding and bird species! Each month, we highlight birds that you can find in our southwest Michigan backyards, woods and waters during this time of year.
Birds and Coffee chats are held from 10 to 11 am on the second Wednesday of each month, via Zoom. The online chats are free, but registration is required to access meeting details.
Spring dates and species of focus include:
April 13: Swallows—Tree, Barn Cliff and Bank swallows, Purple Martin.
May 11: Warblers—American Redstart, Common Yellowthroat, and Pine, Hooded, and Yellow-rumped warblers.
June 8: Cardinals and ally birds—Scarlet Tanager, Northern Cardinal, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Indigo Bunting, and Dickcissel.
