Join volunteer Mark Rogers for a winter hike at Upper Manistee Headwaters: The Milock Family Nature Preserve! This hike is for those who love to be outdoors and enjoy sharing their knowledge of the plants, trees, birds, animals and their past hiking adventures.
The Basics:
Come prepared with winter gear, water, and a snack. Participants are encouraged to bring snowshoes. The snow and trail conditions may make this a moderately strenuous event.
The Conservancy follows state, federal and CDC guidelines for COVID-19 and may modify or cancel this event at any time. Do not participate in any activity if you were recently exposed (within 10 days) to someone with COVID-19, have recently (within 10 days) been diagnosed with COVID-19, or have experienced ANY of the following symptoms in the past 24 hours:
Sore throat
Fever
New or worsening cough
Shortness of breath
Vomiting/diarrhea
Shaking/chills
Loss of taste or smell
Muscle pain
What should I bring?
Dress for the weather
Sturdy, close-toed shoes recommended
Consider bringing your binoculars or a camera
Consider bringing a reusable water bottle and some snacks
Consider bringing snowshoes and hiking poles

Registration is appreciated but is not required. Cancellations due to weather, changing COVID-19 restrictions, or any other reason will be communicated with registered participants via email.
In the event of inclement weather, the hike will proceed on the following day – Sunday, February 12.
