Run, walk, or jog along your favorite route for this virtual fun run! This 5K will promote efforts to preserve habitat for rare, threatened, and endangered species throughout Michigan, such as the monarch butterfly, karner blue butterfly, sturgeon, moose, eastern massasauga rattlesnake, eastern box turtle, and more!
The Michigan Nature Association is hosting the Race for Michigan Nature the week of May 15-22, 2021. This year’s Race for Michigan Nature is a statewide Virtual 5K spotlighting several of Michigan’s rarest species and helping promote the importance of protecting Michigan’s remaining natural areas. The run has been endorsed by the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports and qualifies for the Pure Michigan Challenge!
Participants learn about Michigan’s endangered species, receive race t-shirts, medals, and complimentary memberships to the Michigan Nature Association. Not a runner? No problem! Walkers are welcome, too! Invite the whole family!
