The evening starts at 8:30 pm with a performance from the synth punk band Loser Candy. While very much influenced by bands like Joy Division and the Velvet Underground, Loser Candy also injects elements of blues and American folk music into their sound.
The evening continues with the 1986 vampire favorite, “The Lost Boys” at 9pm. A mother and her two sons move to a small coastal town in California that is plagued by teen bikers and mysterious deaths. Sam, the youngest of the brothers, makes friends with the Frog brothers, two other boys who claim to be vampire hunters and attempt to clue Sam in on what’s going on in town. While exploring the boardwalk, Michael, the older brother, meets Star, a beautiful girl who runs with a local dirt bike gang. After an evening out with Star and her friends Michael is given what he thinks is wine and  begins to behave strangely. Michael begins to suspect he is changing and his fears are justified when his blood lust grows to the point that he tries to attack Sam. When he refuses to let the Frog brothers kill Michael, Sam enlists their help to track down and kill the head vampire and hopefully free both Michael and Star from becoming remorseless killers.
In addition to perfectly balancing horror with moments of comedy, “The Lost Boys” is also known for bringing the “Coreys”, Corey Haim & Corey Feldman, together for the first time. This iconic first time pairing continued through the late 80s and produced such classics as “License to Drive” and “Dream a Little Dream.” “The Lost Boys” also stars Dianne Weist (“Footlose,” & “The Birdcage”), Jami Gertz (“Twister”), Jason Patrick (“NARC”) and Keiffer Sutherland in the sinister role of David.
Tickets for this event are $10 including fees ($6+fees). Doors will open one hour prior to showtime and seating will begin 30 minutes prior to showtime. Concessions, including alcoholic beverages, will be available for purchase. No outside food or drink allowed in the theatre. Ear plugs will be available for $1.00 at concessions. “The Lost Boys” is rated R for several scenes of intense violence and some gore.
