Lace up your sneakers and get ready to walk a Michigan landmark. The annual International Bridge Walk takes an easy pace and provides spectacular views of the twin Saults, the St. Marys River rapids, and the Soo Locks.
Young and old, physically fit and fitness challenged, all enjoy the fantastic views and the resulting pictures that will last a lifetime. Best of all, there’s no admission fee, no long waits, and no sweltering heat to contend with since the walk steps off at 9:30 am. Bicycles are welcomed to attend as well. Bikes will start the parade at 9:30 am and walkers will follow.
Walkers will need proper ID, a passport or other approved ID, to cross the border however bikes riders do not as they will NOT enter Canada. Bicyclists will travel to the edge of Canada and turn around and ride back to the US.
For more information on proper ID, visit https://www.saultstemarie.com/soo-area-and-great-waters-region/international-bridge/.
