A CALL AGAINST RACISM AND ANTISEMITISM:
Central to the evening’s theme will be our unwavering stance against racism and antisemitism. Through diverse means – be it speeches, exhibits, or performances – the event aims to not only educate but inspire action against these deep-rooted prejudices.
CELEBRATING UNITY AND LEGACY:
This event is a testament to the enduring bonds and shared histories that have knitted the African- American and Jewish communities together. We’re set to commemorate the moments that defined an era and celebrate the legacies of those who paved the way for social justice and change.
HONORING DR. CLARENCE B. JONES:
Dr. Clarence B. Jones, a monumental figure in the civil rights movement and a close confidant of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., stands as a living testament to the power of resilience, unity, and commitment. His role in co-drafting the iconic ‘I Have A Dream’ speech remains one of the many defining moments of his illustrious journey. This evening is dedicated to honoring Dr. Jones, not only for his past contributions but for his ongoing efforts as Chairman of the Spill The Honey Foundation.
NOTABLE INCLUSIONS:
Documentary Screening: A poignant abridged version of the documentary “Shared Legacies: The African- American Jewish Civil Rights Alliance” will be showcased, giving attendees a glimpse into defining moments of the civil rights era.
Special Guests and Performances: We are deeply honored to welcome Fred Ferber, a Holocaust survivor, as a distinguished guest speaker, whose profound legacy will significantly enrich our event. We proudly highlight Leila Steinberg, renowned recording artist, producer, and previous manager of the legendary Tupac Shakur. Additionally, we are thrilled to showcase the talents of Grammy-Nominated artist Mali Wilson, the brilliant mind behind the ‘Shared Legacies’ score. Mali will grace us with a live performance of the Spill The Honey Anthem, ‘No More Silence.’ The evening will further be illuminated by the artistry of the late Devon Cunningham.
VIP Experiences:
Reserved for our esteemed sponsors, this will include dedicated seating arrangements, product displays, special acknowledgments, and more, ensuring our benefactors feel the depth of our appreciation.
Conclusion:
This evening promises to be more than just an event; it’s a tribute, a celebration, and a call to action, bringing to the fore the essence of Spill The Honey Foundation’s mission and vision. We look forward to hosting an evening that remains etched in the memories of all attendees.
