Join the Kalamazoo Valley Museum at 230 N Rose St, Kalamazoo, MI this Winter Break for tons of family fun! All activities are free and open to the public. Your mind will be kept off the cold with demos such as the Kalamazoo Scale Modelers Make & Take Dec 27 & Jan 3, 12-4 pm, the Henna Demo Jan 1 & 3, 12-4 pm, as well as other daily demos.

Planetarium shows will be held weekdays Dec. 26-Jan 5 and cost $3/Person. They will include:

11 am SEASON OF LIGHT: Learn about traditions celebrated during the winter solstice.

1 pm LET IT SNOW: Celebrate the winter season with this holiday music show.

2 pm SPACEPARK 360: Travel through an amusement park that spans the solar system.

3 pm MYSTERY OF THE CHRISTMAS STAR: Discover a scientific explanation for the Star of Bethlehem.

4 pm DINOSAURS AT DUSK: Explore the evolution of dinosaurs into modern-day birds.

The Children’s Landscape will remain open till 5 pm.

There will also be many guest performances that begin at 12 p.m. and are also free! These will include:

DEC 31: ROSIE CHAPMAN: African Folktales

JAN 2: DRUMMUNITY!: Community Drum Circle

JAN 4: GUY LOUIS SFERLAZZA: Instruments from around the world
