Gilmore Car Museum Honors its Founders with New Pre World War II Automotive Event: May 20-21

The Gilmore Car Museum near Kalamazoo, MI celebrates its golden anniversary with an all-new event in honor of its founder with “The Donald Gilmore Classic.” This pre-WWII car show and swap meet will be held Saturday, May 21 with a driving tour taking place on Friday, May 20.

West Michigan’s Connections to the Titanic to be Presented Thursday Evening at Otsego Area Historical Museum

On the evening of April 14, the RMS Titanic—the famed “unsinkable” ship—struck an iceberg in the North Atlantic Ocean. It was just four days into her maiden voyage from Southampton, England to the United States. In less than three hours, the ship sank and of the over 2,200 passengers onboard (including many of the world’s wealthiest), only 705 people survived.
