On April 14, 1874, Charles W. Sinclair purchased what is now the site of Chippewa Nature’s Homestead Farm. Here, this “State of Mainer” and Civil War Veteran, with his beloved wife Josephine, raised six children. C.W. also grew strawberries, pastured sheep, worked as a sawmill foreman, and ran lumber camps. Join Kyle Bagnall, Manager of Historical Programs, as we follow the story of this pioneer family. This multimedia presentation will take place in the Timber Frame Barn at the Homestead Farm.
