This program of favorites reveals the multi-dimensional ingenuity of the Classical style. Mozart’s pristine Trio, Weber’s electrifying Clarinet Quintet, and Brahms’s magisterial Piano Quintet all owe a nod of thanks to Haydn’s immortal invention.
